Fresh citrus and aquatic scents are clean and easy for daytime; aromatic and fougère scents (lavender, herbs) feel classic; woody scents (cedar, vetiver) are calm and confident; spicy, amber and oud scents are warm and bold.
Eau de toilette (EDT) is lighter and fresher; eau de parfum (EDP) has a higher concentration and usually lasts longer on skin; parfum or extrait is the most concentrated. The concentration is shown in each product name.
For work and warm days, a fresh or light woody scent is a safe choice. For evenings and winter, many men prefer richer spicy, leather or amber fragrances.
Two or three sprays on the neck and chest are usually enough. Strong eau de parfum and Arabic fragrances need less.
